Emphasizing the true meaning of "wearable art", Andrée's jewelry designs are timeless; they complement fashion without compromising art and creativity. A jewelry designer for over twenty-five years, Andrée Alexander launched her collection of original one-of-a-kind semi-precious stone and pearl belts in 2006. " My sister Lucie Langlois inspired me to design "jewelry belts", says Andrée, "while we have shared ideas and resources for years, Lucie shared with me the idea and technique for the belts." Born in Quebec City, Canada, Andrée has lived in Sonoma County, California, for over twenty-five years. Formally trained as an interior designer and having taken art classes since childhood, Andrée stretched her artistic ability to create jewelry pieces that emphasize beauty, quality, and wearability. "I hand-pick all the materials I use in my jewelry", says Andrée, "from freshwater pearls to semi-precious stones and chains; quality is as important to me as the design." |
